Rowe becomes Distinguished Eagle Scout

Mike Rowe, who made “dirty jobs” a household phrase, was honored during the Americanism Breakfast 31 May during the BSA’s National Annual Meeting in Orlando. He credits his father for driving him to his first Scout meeting and telling him to “get out” at the church. He becomes one of close to 1000 Eagle Scouts receiving the Distinguished Eagle Scout Award.

The Distinguished Eagle Scout Award, established by the Boy Scouts of America, has been awarded to Eagle Scouts who have performed distinguished service to their communities and in their line of work. Each Distinguished Eagle Scout has been an Eagle Scout at least 25 years ago before nomination. It is not awarded for earning all of the available merit badges, nor is it awarded for contributing large sums of money to local Councils or to the Boy Scouts of America. http://www.NESA.org

About Mike Walton

Take your standard Oliver North. Add strong parts of Bill Cosby and Sir Robert Baden-Powell (the founder of Scouting). Throw in Johny Bravo without the "hurhhs!" and his pecks. Add a strong dose of parenting, the sexuality of a latin lover, and Mona Lisa's smile. And a 40 year old's body frame. That's me basically *grinning*
